Vixus Ping

Free uptime monitoring

Uptime monitoring and public status pages

Know when a website, API or SSL certificate has a problem before your customers do. Get alerted by email, Telegram or webhook, and give everyone else a status page that tells the truth.

Free plan: 10 monitors, no credit card.

Everything you need to watch a site, and nothing you have to babysit

Add a URL, a host or a port. Vixus Ping checks it on a schedule, tells the right people when it breaks and again when it recovers.

Website and API monitoring

Check any HTTP or HTTPS address. Choose the method, the status codes that count as healthy, a keyword that must (or must not) appear, a slow-response limit and how many redirects to follow.

TCP port monitoring

Watch a database, mail server or game server. If the port stops accepting connections, you hear about it.

SSL certificate expiry

Get a warning when a certificate has 14, 7 and 3 days left, and a down alert if it has already expired. A renewed certificate starts the countdown over.

Alerts where you already are

Email, Telegram and webhooks. Link a Telegram chat by opening a bot link and pressing Start. Recovery messages say how long the outage lasted.

Fewer false alarms

A single failed check is not an outage. A monitor goes down after two failures in a row (you can change that per monitor), and the second look comes after 30 seconds, not a whole interval.

Careful with your data

Webhook addresses and signing secrets are stored encrypted, and each webhook is signed with HMAC-SHA256 so you can verify it came from us. Checks to private and internal addresses are refused.

Up and running in three steps

  1. Add a monitor

Paste a URL, or give a host and a port. Pick how often to check and what counts as healthy.

  2. Choose who is told

Add email, Telegram or webhook contacts and link them to the monitors they should hear about. An address is confirmed before it can receive alerts.

  3. Publish a status page

Pick the services to show and what to call them, add your name and accent colour, and share the link.

A public status page your customers can trust

Stop answering “is it down?” one message at a time. Publish a page that shows what is working, what is not and what happened before.

  • 90 days of uptime for every service, one bar per day, with the percentage.
  • Incident history opened automatically when a monitor goes down and closed when it recovers.
  • Never says “operational” on stale data. If checks stop, the page says “Status unknown” instead.
  • Nothing private leaks. Visitors see the names you chose, states and numbers. Never your URLs, settings or error details.
  • Fast and light. No JavaScript, cached on the server, and served separately from the dashboard so it still loads when the dashboard does not.
  • Your branding. Page name, description and accent colour, plus a JSON version of every page.

A dashboard that shows what is down first

Open it and the answer is at the top: what is down, what is up, how fast it responds and when it was last checked.

  • Response-time charts for the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
  • Uptime, recent checks and incidents for every monitor, with the reason each check failed.
  • A record of every alert sent and to which contact.
  • Light and dark themes, and it works on a phone.

Questions, answered

What is uptime monitoring?

Uptime monitoring means a service checks your website, API or server on a schedule from the outside and alerts you when it stops responding correctly, so you find out from a message instead of from a customer.

What can I monitor?

Websites and APIs over HTTP or HTTPS (with expected status codes, keyword checks and a slow-response limit), TCP ports on any public host, and SSL certificate expiry.

How often are my monitors checked?

Every 5 minutes on the free plan. When a check fails, the next look comes after 30 seconds, so a real outage is confirmed quickly.

How will I be alerted?

By email, Telegram or webhook, to the contacts you choose for each monitor. You are told when something goes down and again when it recovers. A failed delivery is retried several times, from 30 seconds up to an hour, before it is given up on.

Will I get false alarms?

Fewer. A monitor is only marked down after two failed checks in a row by default, and you can change that for each monitor.

Does a status page show my URLs or settings?

No. A public page is built only from the service names you chose, their current state, uptime numbers and incident times. Addresses, settings and error messages are never included.

Can I use my own domain for the status page?

Not yet. Pages live at status.vixus.io/your-name today, and custom domains are on the roadmap.

Can I monitor something on my local network?

No. Checks come from the internet, and requests to private or internal addresses are refused on purpose. Monitor anything that is reachable from the public internet.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan includes 10 monitors, 5 alert contacts and one public status page, with no credit card. Paid plans are planned but do not exist yet.
